These applications require the use of Thermometric Complexes able to operate at high temperatures and in the presence of acid vapours, which require sheaths and coatings made with noble metals or ceramics, even in multiple layers, if necessary.
Kilns for ceramics and glass are designed for firing products or applying finishing glazes. They can be batch ovens, where the products are cooked in a single session, or tunnel ovens, used for more voluminous processes where the products are processed in different cooking and controlled cooling zones in a continuous entry and exit cycle.
High-temperature probes consist of a probe body and a removable insert. The outer sheath plays the role of protection for the removable insert, which represents the sensitive element for reading the temperature.
Technical features
The temperature probes with thermometric complexes for ceramic or glass furnaces allow easy maintenance and verification of the sensitive element without acting on the process conditions. Removal of the removable insert can be performed for calibration, replacement or validation checks.
