Unlike traditional temperature probes which use a separate thermowell, in metal melting furnace thermowell assemblies, the thermowell is an integral part of the probe itself, while the sensing element is mounted as a removable insert.
The probe insert can be made with different solutions, such as the tube, ceramic insulators or magnesium oxide cables. These options allow you to tailor the probe to the specific needs of your metal casting process.
